About
Albert Mucunguzi, a.k.a almuc, is an Executive Director at Galaxy Communications Ltd, a company he co-founded in 2007. His being a practitioner of Information Technology has been purely are result of self-motivation and hardwork, having not initially acquired extensive classroom education in that field. At Makerere University, Albert was a Statistics Major, minoring in Economics. He attended Kabale Primary School, Ntare School, and finally Kigezi College Butobere, where he's remembered as an intelligent Mathematician, following his excellence in the subject while there and in the Maths Contest papers he sat at that time.
He, however believes what one becomes in life purely depends on what their hearts desire... regardless of whether they may be adequately or inadequately facilitated to achieve it. He believes, what he refers to as 'conflict' can only delay - but not stop a willing and determined heart, arguing that life is all about conflict. That there always seems to be something standing in the way of everything. Though usually, risks must be taken.
Currently, he is a web developer at Makerere University Business School, an IT Consultant at AMPROC Inc. (American Procurement Company), and Design Consultant at East African Procurement Company Ltd, a sister company of AMPROC.
He has started and managed various businesses and concepts, but his core business is always built on graphics designing and scripting, having developed over 70 websites (commercially) and currently heading the design team of Procurement News (Monthly magazine), and Metro News (Kampala weekly Newspaper). While others wonder how he manages all such responsibility at the same time, Albert wonders if there is a way he could increase the number of hours in a day to, at least 26!

Probably the biggest challenge I had ever faced! I'd just finished my last university papers when it turned out that I might be about to be tasked to re-design the website for this institution. I might not have known how or what... but I, sure, relished the prospect. Details?
It feels like my baby. Conceiving a vision, and slowly seeing it become reality... Well, Let's wait and see.
This is the latest of surprises to my career. I got contacted by a Japanese Businessman about the possibility of developing a website for him... Career couldn't be more interesting!
My first Boss told me in December 2004 to always write my plans on paper. That that way, I'd always be able to follow up even if I experienced hiccups along the way. I was 18. But I still remember so clearly. If what he said was true, then this magazine will one day be the winner.
